Have you questioned your sexual orientation or gender identity and are wanting to explore it in a safe place?
Not sure how to share with family/friends about how you identify?
Do you have other topics that are intertwined with your sexuality and gender identity that you want to explore with a trained professional?
Oftentimes those in the LGBTQ+ community are dealing with more than just exploring and understanding their sexual and/or gender identity. Stressors can involve family, healthcare, work, cultural factors, finances, and relationships. With the possibility of various factors at play, it is not uncommon for gender and sexual minority individuals to be faced with depression, anxiety, and significant stress that can be hard to manage or make sense of.
The staff at Psychological Services has a passion for working with sexual and gender minorities. We understand that there are societal, cultural, and relational factors that impact one’s various intersecting identities. Psychological Services is committed to providing affirmative therapy to the LGBTQIAP+ community and creating a strong therapeutic relationship where clients can further understand, examine, and accept their most authentic selves. Common topics in therapy may include: Sexual/Gender Identity Issues, Coming Out, Monogamous/Poly/Non-monogamous relationships, and Family of Origin concerns.
